Biliptysis is nearly always indicative of the presence of a bronchobiliary fistula which is an abnormal communication between the biliary system and the bronchial tree. The lesion was usually produced by trauma, choledocholithiasis, amebic abscess of the liver, and Echinococcal cyst of the liver necessitating surgical correction. .
We experienceda case of bronchobiliary fistula associated with left intrahepatic stone which. was treated by lateral segmentectomy of the liver and a brief review of previous cases reported in Korea was made.
